About

Brian started his racing a bit late in life. Before racing, Brian spent most of his time bowling semi-professionally, ultimately working towards becoming a PBA Tour member. It wasn't until his family decided to strip an old car and build it to run at the famous Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Virginia that Brian realized his true passion for racing. It was at Old Dominion Speedway in 1984 that Brian and his dad began running in the "Grocery Getter" Division and an obsession was born.

In 2000, Brian attended a race at Old Dominion speedway where he was introduced to the Super Mini Cups. What he first considered to be a children's sport, Brian quickly realized people his same age were running the cars! After speaking with several drivers, Brian was able to go out the next day and run a few practice laps! He was hooked and in 2001 he began racing his own Super Mini Cup car with his own team. At the end of 2001, at the Mini Cup Nationals in South Boston, Brian qualified 17th out of 31 cars only to be taken out of the race by a first lap crash. In 2002, Brian continued competing in several touring events within the Mini Cups series and finished 3rd overall in the Pennsylvania Mini Cup Series.

In 2004, Brian sold all his racing equipment after deciding to learn more of the crewing aspect of racing. Brian worked with several racers at Old Dominion, including Mini Stock Champion Tom Beckman. In 2006, Tom introduced Brian to JJ Pack and Brian later became JJ's tire specialist for the Hooters Pro Cup. In 2007, Brian was not only the tire specialist for JJ Pack, but began learning the management side of team motorsports. Later, Brian became the spotter and General Manager of JJ's team and spent most of his time handling the operations of the team.

These days, Brian is back to competing in the Legends series with his bright orange #61 car. He races mostly with SCCA or INEX and also continues his role with JJ Pack Racing as General Manager and Spotter.
